Matt Ritchie to play Derby County in tomorrow's match

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Matt Ritchie will be in the squad to face Derby County at the Goldsands Stadium tomorrow.

Ritchie made his first appearance since the start of pre-season in a friendly against Reading on Wednesday, impressing Howe during in a 60 minute run out.

“He came through it well and I thought he was excellent in the game,”
he told Hot Radio.

Optimism About Under-21 Cup Tie Against Plymouth

Stephen Purches spoke optimistically about the Cherries’ stand against Plymouth Pilgrims at the Goldsands Stadium that will happen at 2pm today. The event, which is free-to-enter, marks the qualifier for the foundational Under-21 Cup Run.

Cherries Target Internet Safety for Youngsters

AFC Bournemouth has joined forces with leading data centre and connectivity solution provider C4L to provide Connect With Care, a community project based upon internet safety for children.

The scheme, which will last for 40 weeks, will run throughout the entire academic year and look to educate both children and parents about potential dangers when using the internet and to increase awareness around
online safety.

The key facts and points surrounding children and internet dangers will be delivered through football drills and activities, while parents will be taught about the restrictions and parental control measures available when dealing with the children’s mobile phones and iPads.

Cherries Legend Fletcher Gets Behind Earth Chapter Project

Cherries legend Steve Fletcher lent his support to new local primary school project Earth Charter, which teaches pupils about the importance of respecting the environment.

More than 400 children attended the event, which was hosted at the Avonbourne and Harewood Colleges and supported by the Green Goals initiative.

The day began with workshops and pupils making cakes and crafts with fair trade products and other sustainable and eco-friendly items.
