Positive approach key for MacDonald

Shaun MacDonald insists the Cherries must remain positive ahead of this weekend’s game at Reading.

The Cherries were beaten by Queens Park Rangers last night, but the Wales midfielder saw more enough encouraging signs in their performance to suggest their fortunes would soon change.

“I don’t think 3-0 was a fair reflection of the game and it is frustrating because I think we were the better side in the first 30 minutes,” he told afcb.co.uk.

Matt Ritchie to play Derby County in tomorrow's match

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Matt Ritchie will be in the squad to face Derby County at the Goldsands Stadium tomorrow.

Ritchie made his first appearance since the start of pre-season in a friendly against Reading on Wednesday, impressing Howe during in a 60 minute run out.

“He came through it well and I thought he was excellent in the game,”
he told Hot Radio.

Cherries Target Internet Safety for Youngsters

AFC Bournemouth has joined forces with leading data centre and connectivity solution provider C4L to provide Connect With Care, a community project based upon internet safety for children.

The scheme, which will last for 40 weeks, will run throughout the entire academic year and look to educate both children and parents about potential dangers when using the internet and to increase awareness around
online safety.

The key facts and points surrounding children and internet dangers will be delivered through football drills and activities, while parents will be taught about the restrictions and parental control measures available when dealing with the children’s mobile phones and iPads.
