Networking in Bournemouth

WIBN Christchurch - "Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Remembered"

It was the first meeting with Jo Bishop of Rocket Digital Media as Chair, and she brought bundles of energy with her. She reminded us that we should be working as hard in the room as outside. We welcomed five visitors, three of whom had been to the Dorset regional last month.

During the one minute pitches, Alison Shelton of Safewise told us about a firewalk she’s doing in November. She’s looking for daredevils to abseil down the Spinaka Tower or do a tandem skydive to raise funds for the charity. Alexa Noble, visiting from the Poole group, mentioned she might be interested in doing the abseil, and that was it – she was signed up!

Shelley Davies of Davies Chiropractic had us up and out of our seats to impart some wisdom in the battle against aches and pains. She taught us the ‘brace’ technique to replace pulling in our stomachs, which does our body no good.

Tips on How to get Value from your Membership

'Get the value out of your membership' – that is message being drummed into regional groups as the Tool Box continues to be rolled out by WIBN Ambassador Joannah Bishop.

Solent's September meeting was boosted by seven visitors who learned that WIBN is all about sharing and what we can do for one another. Jo took us back to basics with timely reminders about what business networking does – it empowers your business, you make genuine connections and get rid of the need to cold call.

"It brings new opportunities and contacts and through that, you will expand and grow," said Jo.

WIBN - Southampton - Inspirational Networking - Tool Box

Local Business Networking for Women, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch

Southampton City saw the latest roll out of Tool Box, as regional WIBN Ambassador Joannah Bishop presented to the group she chairs.

Tool Box training and shared learning is proving highly successful. Established members are taking on board timely reminders, whilst new members welcome the knowledge and visitors see what WIBN offers.

Jo’s focus was literally to focus. “Focus on what you want – not what you don’t want,” she said as she welcomed eight visitors, six of whom visitors from other WIBN groups. It’s worthwhile to experience the vibe and connections found outside a regular group.
