Summer Spectacular at the Regent lives up to its name!

As a fan of all things musical I was really looking forward to attending the Summer Spectacular at the Regent in Christchurch. Presented by The Glad Rag Production Company; the production promised to be an exciting showcase filled with song, dance and laughter and that’s exactly what we got!

little shop of horrors

Little Shop Of Horrors Review

Set in 1950s Skid Row, New York in an impoverished area, filled with the poor, homeless and disreputable people forgotten by society, and Mushniks flower shop is on the verge of closing down when a mysterious plant arrives with the ability to turn everyone’s fortunes around for the better. Filled with every ingredient needed to create a cult musical, Romance, Comedy, Villains, underdogs and of course a giant blood thirsty plant.

Heather Small

Heather Small – Live in Concert Review

Heather Small: Live in Concert took place at the Regent Centre in Christchurch on Monday 14th March.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our seats in the main auditorium where there was a great buzz in the air. The evening started with a strong support performance; Chris Bannister, guitar singer from Preston, wowed the audience with a collection of his own songs from albums such as ‘Colours’ and ‘Don’t Forget, Forgive’ and covers in his own unique, country acoustic style; his version of ‘Annies Song’ originally performed by John Denver received a particularly impressed reception from the audience.
