Church Community Project

An independent charity insurance broker is urging local Churches to apply to win a £10,000 grant for their community project.

The grant is being offered by church and charity specialist Ansvar Insurance, but Bournemouth-based Alan & Thomas Insurance Group has confirmed that it is not restricted to Ansvar policyholders and wants to get the word out locally. Any project that could reach new levels of success with a £10,000 injection of funding should apply, and there’s still plenty of time before the 31st May deadline.

“We’ve been working with Ansvar for many years, and it comes as no surprise to us that they are backing this competition,” said Martin Howard of Alan & Thomas Insurance Group.

“There are no catches: after all this is the firm that was named as Better Society Insurance Company of the Year and is part of a group that regularly gives group that regularly gives a high percentage of its profits to community-based charities, headed. “I can think of several local projects where an award this size could make a huge difference, so we want to make sure that every Church in our area knows about it.”

Ansvar managing director Richard Lane
said: “We want this campaign to help share and spread the best ideas. Churches take on some very big challenges, and we’ll be sharing their stories in the coming months. We’re already getting some inspiring entries: from nursery schools to sports clubs that churches have set up in their communities.”

Churches with a successful project they want to shout about, simply need to tell Ansvar about it in up to 1,000 words.
