New menu prix fixe from Hotel du Vin Poole

With dark winter evenings and a chill in the air, Hotel du Vin Poole has launched a new menu prix fixe to take diners into Spring.

Inspired by French regional classics, the two and three course menu is fantastically well priced and full of warmth and comfort designed to help combat the British winter.

The new menu showcases regional favourites from across France, including Maquereau poêlé, which is seared mackerel with a Normandy horseradish crème fraiche. Other hearty mains include Moules a la Bouillabaisse, mussels in a tomato and fennel broth, which hails from Marseille, a region renowned for its fantastic seafood and Mediterranean influences. Other favourites include Pissaldiere, which is a caramelised onion and anchovy tart from the region encompassing Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

Patrick’s Restaurant, Bar and Event Catering in Ashley Cross has appointed new recruit Jeni Pedley as general manager.

Passionate about hospitality and catering from an early age, Jeni cut her teeth in the industry working in a café in Lulworth Cove when she was still at school, before moving to Cheltenham to complete a degree in Hospitality Management.

Jeni’s degree saw her spend time gaining hands on hospitality experience at the prestigious Merrion Hotel in Dublin before moving back to Dorset where she managed a restaurant at Portland Marina.
