Developing Skills, Developing Business

Christchurch and East Dorset Councils are hosting two events, encouraging skills development and future growth by connecting schools and businesses.

Business representatives from across Christchurch and East Dorset are invited to attend one of two business breakfast networking events hosted by Christchurch and East Dorset Councils. The theme of the events will be ‘Developing Skills – Developing Business’ encouraging local businesses to engage with schools, colleges and universities to improve skills and boost growth in the local economy.

The events will be held on Wednesday 9th March at Highcliffe School and Thursday 10th March at Queen Elizabeth School between 7:45am and 9:30am

Cllr Clair Bath, Portfolio Holder for Economy Christchurch Borough Council said:

“We are delighted to invite businesses to attend the latest in our business breakfast networking events ‘Developing Skills - Developing Business.’ The March events will provide an important networking opportunity for schools, businesses, business support and skills development organisations.’’

Cllr Simon Tong, Portfolio Holder for Economy East Dorset District Council said:

“Events of this kind help build strong business relationships, ensuring our local economy continues to grow. Our next events will focus on making sure young people acquire the essential skills and knowledge that local businesses require.’’

The two events are the latest in a series of ‘Going For Growth’ Business Breakfast events aimed at supporting and developing business in the community. Places are limited, so businesses are encouraged to book their place by Wednesday 2nd March to avoid disappointment. To book, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
